6 NATURAL WAYS TO FLAVOR WATER

Water is essential for good health, but lets face it water can be quite bland. But not for long!  Here are some ways to add flavor to your water without added sugars and empty calories.

FRUITS

To flavor water with fruits, chop, crush, or slice them and let flavors meld naturally. You can also try adding a little fruit juice —just select one with no added sugars.

HERBS

Make herbal infusions by steeping herbs in water and refrigerating overnight for a cool and lightly flavored drink. Remember, herbs are not just for taste; they bring many health benefits.

TEA

We are cheating here as this is already a well-known beverage. But hear us out, isn't tea essentially flavored water? A caveat with choosing this method is to be mindful of caffeine. Moderation is key.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Try adding a dash of apple cider vinegar in water for those who enjoy some tartness—mix in honey or other sugar alternatives to bring in some sweetness. 

VEGETABLES

Turn your water into broths or soups by boiling water with herbs, spices, and vegetables. Store-bought these can have a lot of salt and preservatives, so do make this at home if you can.

Drinking water doesn’t need to be boring. Make your water more exciting by adding ingredients that don’t just give flavor, but also provide a variety of health benefits.
