Energy Drink Possible?

Energy drinks contain caffeine because caffeine is a pretty good stimulant. Caffeine increases alertness and wakefulness, warding off fatigue. But is a caffeine free energy drink possible?

Some require closer monitoring of caffeine intake than others. People with low caffeine tolerance can often experience headaches, anxiety, and insomnia.

But, The Trouble With Caffeine

Are there natural energy drinks that can be consumed as coffee alternatives to give that boost of energy that we crave?

Coconut water is the water from young coconuts . Naturally, it is rich in potassium, easily digestible carbohydrate and electrolytes that boost energy levels.

Kvass is a fermented drink made from barley and wheat. It makes the list because the carbohydrates and fiber can provide a slow but steady release of energy.

Despite the misleading name this doesn’t actually have caffeine.  What makes it possible as a replacement is that the carbohydrate is slowly broken down to release steady amounts of energy.

CHICORY COFFEE

Chicory coffee is yet another cleverly branded caffeine free alternative .  Some say even say it tastes like regular coffee without the bitterness.

Have we found nature’s caffeine free energy drink that gives the same zing as coffee? The short answer to that is no. None give quite the energy boost that comes with drinking caffeine.

What all these natural caffeine-free energy drinks offer i a low glycemic index, meaning they slowly but steadily release energy over a longer period of time.
