Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder characterized by an increase in male reproductive hormones, cysts in the ovaries, and irregular menstrual cycles.
This hormonal imbalance can lead to ovulation failure and infertility. There are claims out there that spearmint tea can be helpful for PCOS. But how valid are these claims?
There is no curative treatment for PCOS, but recent studies have found spearmint effective in treating some PCOS symptoms.
A study concluded that subjects who consumed spearmint tea experienced a reduction of free total testosterone - a hormone often the cause of facial hair.
