It’s finally that time of year again — the leaves are turning gold and brown, our sweaters are ready to be worn, and, of course, Starbucks has released their autumnal menu! With Halloween just around the corner, we are getting super excited about getting our daily coffee fix from a few of Starbucks’ most delicious Halloween-themed drinks. As usual, they’ve been super creative with their specialty drinks.

Here is a guide to all of Starbucks’ best Halloween drinks this season. As Starbucks fans may know, some of the best themed drinks at Starbucks are a bit of a secret, so you’ll have to order them carefully!

    • Pumpkin Spice Latte
    • Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino
    • Pumpkin Hot Chocolate
    • Pumpkin Cheesecake Frappuccino
    • Pumpkin Pie Frappuccin
    • Chai Tea Latte
    • Maple Pecan Latte
    • Caramel Apple Spice
    • Apple Chai or “Chai-der”
    • Witch’s Brew Creme Frappuccino
    • Vampire Frappuccino
    • Phantom Frappuccino
    • Zombie Frappuccino
    • The Three Hocus Pocus Witches Themed Frappuccinos
  • The Bottom Line

Pumpkin Spice Latte

It really doesn’t get more classic than the Pumpkin Spice Latte. This autumnal drink is the perfect caffeinated beverage to get you feeling warm and cozy and excited about the fall. Plus, this simple Halloween drink is actually pretty easy to make at home! Simply add some pumpkin spice to your morning latte for that lovely fall-time aroma and taste.

Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino

If you want to switch up your Pumpkin Spice game, try swapping your latte for a frappuccino at Starbucks. This is like the coffee milkshake version of the traditional pumpkin spice latte, making it the ideal treat for after lunch.

Pumpkin Hot Chocolate

Starbucks serves up tasty hot chocolates all year round. However, when Halloween rolls around, you can add some seasonal spice to the drink by adding a little pumpkin to the mix. This simple, delicious, indulgent drink is perfect for those extra chilly days when you just want an extra treat.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Frappuccino

In yet another pumpkin flavored coffee concoction, the Pumpkin Cheesecake Frappuccino combines the Halloween-y flavor of pumpkin with the indulgent taste of cheesecake. This is another dessert-like coffee drink with both sweet and spice.

To get this secret Starbucks drink, order:

  • A pumpkin spice frappuccino
  • White mocha
  • With cinnamon dolce syrup
  • And graham cracker topping

Pumpkin Pie Frappuccin

The Pumpkin Pie Frappuccino is not to be confused with the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino. This drink will instantly give you flashbacks to your last Thanksgiving Dinner dessert — and who doesn’t love pumpkin pie!

Or order this secret Starbucks drink:

  • Pumpkin spice frappuccino
  • With heavy cream
  • With cinnamon dolce syrup
  • With cinnamon powder
  • With Whipped cream
  • And topped with cinnamon dolce sprinkles

Chai Tea Latte

The Chai Tea Latte is another classic that Starbucks serves all year round. However, with its extra spicy kick, it really suits the fall time — especially for Halloween.

Maple Pecan Latte

Yet another classic fall beverage, the Maple Pecan Latte combines nutty, syrupy flavors that you can’t help but associate with hayrides, falling leaves, and, yes, Halloween! Enjoy this delicious, autumnal drink in the morning to get your much-needed caffeine kick.

Caramel Apple Spice

This yummy apple cider with a twist is perfect for those spooky October days when you want to avoid drinking too much coffee. With notes of apple, caramel, cinnamon, and vanilla, this tasty warm beverage will see you through those chilly fall days in the lead up to Halloween.

Apple Chai or “Chai-der”

For a slightly more spicy, special take on the classic apple spice, try ordering an Apple Chai, or, as it’s fondly known, “The Chai-der.” If you want to try this unique Halloween-time beverage, try substituting the Cinnamon Dolce syrup in the caramel apple spice for chai concentrate, and voila!

Witch’s Brew Creme Frappuccino

This option is definitely only appropriate for Halloween time. With its wacky, witchy colors and its bold flavors, every Starbucks fan should try this special holiday frappuccino this October. This official Starbucks drink contains creamy purple colored creme frappuccino, bold green chia seeds, and bright green powder. If you’re looking for a drink to really get you in that spooky mood, the witches brew frappuccino will not disappoint.

Vampire Frappuccino

A few years ago, the Mr and Mrs Vampire Frappuccinos were added to multiple locations around the world. These blood-red Frappuccinos look like something straight out of Dracula’s castle. While they aren’t on the menu this year, you can still order this drink if you know what to ask for.

Here’s what to order for the Vampire Frappuccino from the Starbucks secret menu:

  • Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino
  • With mocha sauce at the bottom of the cup
  • With Strawberry purée drizzled over top
  • Topped off with whipped cream and strawberry syrup

Phantom Frappuccino

Ask just about anyone what the most classic costume is on Halloween, and they’ll probably all give you the same answer — the ghost! In 2019, Starbucks paid homage to the spooky phantom by creating their own phantom-inspired frappuccino, complete with, as they put it, “ghoulish lime slime.” It’s a startling black (thanks to charcoal powder) and green color. Yum?

This completely vegan drink was released for only five days last Halloween — there’s still no word on whether the Phantom Frappuccino will be making a comeback this year.

Unfortunately, because this is such a niche frappuccino, you probably won’t be able to order it this year unless it’s officially on the menu.

Zombie Frappuccino

This colorful zombie inspired Frappuccino was released by Starbucks back in 2017. It features a “ghastly green body” that’s made with tart apple flavors. The pink whipped cream on top is meant to look like brains. To complete the look, the drink features blood-like red mocha drizzle down the sides of the glass — again, we aren’t sure how appetizing this image is, but have to give Starbucks credit for creativity!

If you want to try to recreate this frappuccino this year, try asking for:

  • Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino
  • Strawberry whipped cream
  • Red mocha drizzle

The Three Hocus Pocus Witches Themed Frappuccinos

Everyone knows the famous Halloween classic Hocus Pocus. How could you forget the colorful, extravagant three Sanderson witches, the red-headed Winifred, the brunette Mary, and the blonde Sarah.

Starbucks has created three super bright and colorful frappuccinos in honor of the three witches — and we have to say, we’re pretty impressed with the results. We definitely recommended bringing a couple of friends with you on your next trip to Starbucks, so you can each try one!

Here’s how to order the Winifred:

  • Start with a Green Tea Frappuccino
  • Add one pump of white mocha
  • Add one pump of peppermint syrup
  • Top with whipped cream and crushed strawberries for the iconic orange hairdo

Here’s how to order the Mary:

  • Start with a Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino
  • Add a handful of strawberry inclusions
  • Add white mocha
  • Top off with whipped cream and red and brown mocha drizzle

Here’s how to order the Sarah:

  • Start with violet drink
  • Add berries
  • Use soy milk instead of coconut
  • Top it off with whipped cream and a heavy dose of golden ginger powder

The Bottom Line

There are literally dozens of fun, creative themed drinks at Starbucks to try this year. Whether you go for a classic Pumpkin Spice Latte, or you go all out with a funky Witch’s Brew Frappuccino, one thing’s for sure — it’s definitely worth branching out and trying something other than your usual American at Starbucks this October!
